The Bold Edge Live Online Web Design Course focuses on developing the visual, graphic, and information design skills required to create compelling Basic Informational, WordPress CMS based and E-Commerce Web sites. Learn how to design for the wave of the future: mobile devices.

During the Live Web Design Program, you will start off learning about design principles for the web, typography, color theory and what works and doesn’t for the web. Then, learn Photoshop for Web, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Flash for advertisements. You will learn how to integrate Jquery into your site for show stopping image slide effects. Getting more advanced, you will learn how to design WordPress driven websites, allowing you to deliver a website to your client that they will be able to update on their own! Finally, you will learn how to integrate your own design into a preexisting feature loaded E-commerce shopping cart solution, this will allow you to deliver to your clients a superior product, without hiring a programmer. This allows you to succeed in a very lucrative manner.

You will also learn all about acquiring website names, web hosting, uploading your sites. End off the course with learning how to market your website with various methods such as SEO and Social Media marketing.

With each of our course segments, you will be working with actual real world examples, allowing you to learn the actual skills necessary for the web design field.

The Live Interactive Web Design Course Covers:

WDP: Design Principles for the Web
Examine sites with good and bad design. Learn what makes websites work. Learn web layout, typography and color theory.

WPF: Photoshop and Fireworks for the Web
The course covers laying out a web page with slices, optimizing images for the web, and creating basic flash-like animations.

WDC: Dreamweaver / HTML / CSS
HTML is the language of the World Wide Web, a very simple yet often intimidating system of tags that enables text, graphics, sound, and video to be viewed on billions of Web pages. Learn how to use CSS to gain control over page elements such as fonts, lists, color, backgrounds, borders, relative positioning, even visibility. Widely adopted, CSS is an essential addition to any Web designer’s toolkit.

WJ: Jquery
Learn how to work with Jquery to produce amazing photo slide shows, media displays and other cool effects for your websites!

WP: WordPress
Learn how to design WordPress driven websites, the new star on the market. You will be able to offer your clients a website that is driven by a content management system. This will make it super simple for them to update on their own, making it economical for them and moneymaking for you!

WE: Ecommerce
Want to to set up a store site for a client? Design the front end, and don’t book a programmer—Because, we will teach in depth how to integrate your design with one of the most popular, feature packed, free shopping cart systems around. Once this is done you can then pocket all the profits, leaving a programmer out of the picture. This segment will also cover payment options, basic SEO marketing, design for e-commerce and more.

WM: Web Marketing
Learn how to market your website with various methods such as Social Media marketing and email marketing design. 

WS: Setup for the Web
Learn all about acquiring website names, web hosting, uploading your sites and all the technical nitty gritty.
