Course Overview

This course is perfect for those that would like to gain thorough knowledge of Photoshop Illustrator and Indesign along with learning the essential basic design principles. With each of our courses, you will be working with actual real world examples. There will be homework assignments after every lesson, reviewing the concepts taught in that lesson. An instructor will review your assignments and provide video comments and design suggestions. As well, the course wll culminates with 6 large projects as well as 20 supplemental projects which we will help you put together into your portfolio that will showcase the knowledge you have gained in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign as well as the basic design principles.

Course covers

Basic Design Theory
You’ll establish a firm foundation for taking on professional design work through the many projects completed. You will receive tips on how
to improve your work and learn new design skills through feedback received from our experienced designers.

AID: Adobe InDesign
InDesign is covered comprehensively, including basic layout, text and graphics manipulation, drawing tools, color creation and application, style sheets, master pages, multiple pages, justification, hyphenation, cool effects, layout skills and much more. Essential typography rules are also covered.

AI: Adobe Illustrator
A completely hands-on approach to creating illustrations and beautiful type with Adobe Illustrator. Students create many illustrations while strategies for easy execution are discussed and practiced. The course covers drawing, typography, shape combination, special effects, layers, patterns, blends, custom color, logo creation, packaging design concepts and much more.

AP: Adobe Photoshop
A comprehensive class, with an emphasis on the application of concepts to real work situations. You will work on many images! Projects include everything from simple color correction to complex photo retouching, providing an overview from scanned image to printed piece. The course covers beginners to advanced selections, retouching, layers, patterns, adjustment layers, masks, type effects, pen tool and paths, and special filters.

    We have compiled a large variety of free coloring book images from around the internet for your coloring pleasure! So get out your virtual paintbrushes and get down to serious coloring business!

    1. Click thumbnails to choose the picture you would like to color
    2. Click on color picker to choose the color you would like to color with
    3. Click on an area of the picture you would like to colorize
    4. Repeat again, and again
    5. To print: Click on the Download button. Once you click it, your image will open in a popup and you can right click on it and save it to your computer. Then open up the picture you saved and print it!
